From the first contact with Medigo to my final post op testing, everything was handled in the most professional manner.
I was a little nervous about organizing everything via the internet, but it was actually quite easy. I scanned and uploaded my medical file and was put in touch with two fantastic doctors at the Clinique de l'Infirmerie Protestante in Lyon, France.
They made an evaluation of my case and sent me a quote. I had direct email contact with both Dr. Raspado (surgeon) and Dr. Gadroy (GI) to discuss details. I set the date and from then on the bi-lingual coordinators at the hospital organized my schedule and assisted me with absolutely everything. I was escorted by Lea C. to all of my pre admittance testing, so there was no stress in finding my way around or communicating with anyone.
During my entire hospital stay I was guided and cared for by the coordinators. Dr. Raspado, my surgeon, was not only a top surgeon, but also a concerned and and considerate care giver. Light years beyond the kind of care I have experienced as a patient here in the states.
Dr. Gadroy, the attending GI doctor, dealt with my case in the most sensitive and intelligent way. Again, superior in every way to what my experiences at home have been. My initial reason for traveling for medical care was of course financial- my surgeries and pre /post op care were about a quarter of the price it would have been in the States. However, it turns out the benefits were way beyond what I could even imagine. The care on every level was superior. In addition, my husband and son came with me and rented an Air Bnb and got to experience the wonderful city of Lyon.
We had quite a few airline miles, so there was no cost for our transportation.
The hospital is on a very convenient metro line, so visiting the hospital multiple times during the day was easy and inexpensive for my family.
