My mother was admitting on 2016 on the Infirmerie Protestante hospital, it was our first time to check and came to this hospital and we was welcomed from all the DR’s & Nurse’s and all the administrators from the hospital. Really, the DR’s was helpful and they did all what they can to treat my mother. The Hospital is perfect place for any patients and really everyone in the hospital without mentioning any name was great full and helpful to us.
The hospital was welcoming, and the staff were warm and helpful. The nursing staff managed to attend to all of my grandfather's needs, especially when I left the hospital in the evening.
The cardiologists and anesthetists attending my grandfather performed the operation successfully. In the days leading up to the operation, Dr. Bouchayer, Dr. Monsarrat and Dr. Claudel discussed the relevant details of the operation with us. They were receptive to all our questions and worries regarding the procedure and provided a method of contacting them in the case of any further questions.
Ms.Celine Adnet was there throughout our stay and insured that it was as comfortable as possible. She helped us settle in as we arrived from the train station and helped us with any communication problems. She advised us on places to visit during our free time in Lyon, and taking care of my grandfather would have been much more difficult had it not been for her efforts.
From the first contact with Medigo to my final post op testing, everything was handled in the most professional manner.
I was a little nervous about organizing everything via the internet, but it was actually quite easy. I scanned and uploaded my medical file and was put in touch with two fantastic doctors at the Clinique de l'Infirmerie Protestante in Lyon, France.
They made an evaluation of my case and sent me a quote. I had direct email contact with both Dr. Raspado (surgeon) and Dr. Gadroy (GI) to discuss details. I set the date and from then on the bi-lingual coordinators at the hospital organized my schedule and assisted me with absolutely everything. I was escorted by Lea C. to all of my pre admittance testing, so there was no stress in finding my way around or communicating with anyone.
During my entire hospital stay I was guided and cared for by the coordinators. Dr. Raspado, my surgeon, was not only a top surgeon, but also a concerned and and considerate care giver. Light years beyond the kind of care I have experienced as a patient here in the states.
Dr. Gadroy, the attending GI doctor, dealt with my case in the most sensitive and intelligent way. Again, superior in every way to what my experiences at home have been. My initial reason for traveling for medical care was of course financial- my surgeries and pre /post op care were about a quarter of the price it would have been in the States. However, it turns out the benefits were way beyond what I could even imagine. The care on every level was superior. In addition, my husband and son came with me and rented an Air Bnb and got to experience the wonderful city of Lyon.
We had quite a few airline miles, so there was no cost for our transportation.
The hospital is on a very convenient metro line, so visiting the hospital multiple times during the day was easy and inexpensive for my family.
Everything was excellent, informative and very efficient. Couldn't fault the service.
I could not speak highly enough about the care and efficiency i received while at Infirmerie Protestante de Lyon. I travelled from Ireland for major back surgery in November 2018 and was admitted for 1 Week.
The facility and staff are wonderful. Celine helped with all the logistics of my trip from consultations to pre and post op tests. My surgeon Dr.Boyer was fantastic, kept me informed every step of the way, while the nursing staff made me feel so comfortable during my stay.
I really would have no problem in recommending anyone to travel oversea's to Infirmerie Protestante de Lyon for treatment.
My experience of getting a replacement shoulder was brilliant in that the trip for my wife and me was very well organised and every aspect went like clockwork.
All the staff at the Infirmerie Protestante de Lyon were very professional, were able to communicate well in English (which was a concern), were very polite, and very friendly yet very professional.
The hospital was very clean, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. They were even able to look after my wife in the “Hospihotel”.
As someone who has a needle phobia, the process was completely painless, and a great experience !!! I have no hesitation in recommending this service to international patients.
